At Traust, our consultants are more than just technical experts — they are problem solvers and innovators who drive meaningful change for our clients. One of the best examples of this is Scott Searcy, whose deep experience in Oracle EBS consulting, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and Oracle APEX has made him an invaluable resource on high-impact projects.

Recently, Scott Searcy completed a major initiative at Graco, a global leader in fluid handling systems, where he played a key role in the successful relocation of their primary distribution center to a new, state-of-the-art automated warehouse. This project was a culmination of Scott’s four years of work with Graco, where he consistently demonstrated his ability to integrate technology and strategy to deliver results.

A History of Partnership and Innovation

Scott’s career has spanned a number of industries and clients, giving him a broad foundation of expertise. At Banner Engineering, Scott further honed his skills as a business analyst, specializing in documentation and process improvements. At Donaldson, he tackled complex pricing and integration challenges, working closely with offshore teams to develop scalable solutions. He also integrated Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to the Manhattan warehouse management system (WMS) at both Donaldson and ShopNBC.

In addition to his business analysis skills, Scott loves technical problem-solving. This has led him to take on increasingly hybrid roles that combined functional and technical expertise. Whether building custom applications, designing integrations, or optimizing processes, Scott consistently delivered impactful results.

Scott’s work with Graco began four years ago, supporting projects that ranged from integrating credit card systems to streamlining pricing automation. Leveraging his background in pricing automation and integration, Scott developed solutions that helped Graco improve data accuracy, system efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

“When I started at Graco, I had the opportunity to dive into Oracle Integration Cloud and handle both functional and technical roles,” Scott recalls. “This balance allowed me to innovate, like building custom applications and dashboards in Oracle APEX or designing integrations with third-party software.”

Scott’s ability to integrate disparate systems and his proactive approach to problem-solving made him a natural fit to help drive the technological aspects of Graco’s warehouse transition.

Taking the Lead on a High-Stakes Warehouse Move

Graco’s ambitious project to relocate and automate its primary distribution center involved integrating Oracle EBS WMS to a warehouse control system (WCS) provided by Brock Solutions. The WCS controls the conveyer, automated put-away stations, and auto picking stations. Scott spearheaded these efforts, designing and implementing real-time communication between Oracle EBS and the WMS using JSON messaging and Oracle’s integrated SOA gateway.

“I worked closely with Brock Solutions to ensure the systems could ‘talk’ seamlessly,” Scott explains. “We built custom simulations in Oracle APEX to test everything before going live, which was critical since you can’t fully test automation until the systems are operational.”

Scott also developed solutions for transferring inventory between the old and new facilities, using Oracle Mobile and APEX to track shipments and streamline data entry. These efforts allowed Graco to complete the move in just five days — outperforming their original timeline and reducing the amount of shipping downtime.

The Power of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)

Scott’s expertise in OIC was a game-changer for the project. “Integration is always one of the biggest risks in any project,” Scott says. “OIC allowed us to handle data exchanges quickly and efficiently without the need for additional SOA developers, which saved time and reduced complexity.”

In addition to managing warehouse integrations, Scott implemented solutions to optimize freight management processes. By redesigning how shipping data was sent to carriers, Scott reduced delays and ensured trucks were loaded and dispatched more efficiently.

A Lasting Impact

Scott’s work at Graco will leave a lasting legacy, both for the client and for himself. “Seeing the conveyor belts running and knowing that everything we built is working — that’s the most rewarding part,” Scott says.

His role on the project showcased not only his technical skills but also his ability to lead and innovate under pressure. Whether building custom APEX dashboards, implementing complex integrations, or ensuring data accuracy across systems, Scott consistently delivered results.

What’s Next for Scott Searcy?

With a passion for tackling complex challenges, Scott is looking ahead to new opportunities. His areas of expertise — order management, warehouse systems, pricing automation, and integration — position him as a versatile leader ready to make an impact on future projects.

“Big projects like the Graco warehouse move are where I thrive,” Scott says. “I enjoy creating solutions that work seamlessly and make a real difference for the client.”
